Clash of Clans Hungarian Wiki
Clans info
Clans are an optional feature in Clash of Clans, but it is strongly recommended that every player should join a Clan. Collaboration is a very important and helpful aspect of this game.

What is a Clan[]

  • Clans are groups of players that join together in order to compete with other Clans in two ways: the first is to pool their trophies and battle to collect the most trophies, and the second is to win Clan Wars for loot and Clan XP. Members of Clans have a private chat for socializing with each other, are able to challenge each other, and are able to donate troops and spells to each other. Within a Clan, there are four ranks, member, elderco-leader, and leader. Including the leader, you can have up to 50 members in a Clan.

Joining a Clan[]

  • To be a member of a Clan you must first repair your Clan Castle that is located in the South West of your village.. To do this will cost you 10,000 gold. Once your Clan Castle has been repaired, you have the option of joining or creating a Clan. There are various ways to join a Clan.
  • View a Clan that has the status 'Anyone Can Join' and tap the 'join' button.
  • Send a request to join a Clan that has the status 'invite-only'.
  • Accepting an invitation sent by a clan elder/co-leader/leader.

Note: Some Clans have minimum trophy requirements to join their Clan; you cannot join nor send a request to join if you do not meet both the trophy and Versus Trophy requirements (you can, however, be invited and accept the invite). The trophy requirements are set by the Clan leader or co-leader and both can vary from 0 to 4,200.

Making a New Clan[]

In order to create a new Clan, the player must first rebuild the Clan Castle. Once that is done, the player can then start creating a Clan from the "Create Clan" interface (this interface can be accessed from the Clan button found on the Clan Castle.

The player cannot create a Clan while already in another Clan. If the player is already in a Clan, the "Create Clan" tab will be replaced with "My Clan". In order to create a clan, in this case, the player must leave their current clan first.

The player will then be presented with the interfaces as shown in the gallery to the right. To create a Clan, the player needs to do the following;

  1. The player must name the Clan. The name must be at least 2 characters long (not including spaces) and can be no more than 15 characters long (including spaces). Doing so is mandatory to create a clan. The name cannot be changed by the leader(s) afterward.
  2. Choose the Clan Badge.
  3. Add a Clan description to describe what the Clan is all about. This is entirely optional; if done, the description is limited to 250 characters (including spaces and punctuation) or the 4 lines of the box, whichever comes first.
  4. Set the Clan type with respect to joining. This can be one of three options: Anyone can join, Invite Only, or Closed, and defaults to Anyone can join. See Clan Types below for more info about these types.
  5. Set the War Frequency of the Clan. This is optional and if set, can be one of five options: Always, Twice a week, Once a week, Rarely, or Never. This is only a description of how often the clan expects to do Clan Wars, and the Clan is never obliged to do wars at their stated frequency regardless of the setting chosen.
  6. Set the minimum Trophies and Versus Trophies required to join the clan. This can range from 0 to 5,500 for both types of trophies and defaults to 0 for both. See the Minimum Trophy Requirement below for more info about what these requirements do.
  7. Set the Clan Location, which describes where players of the clan usually come from. This is optional and if set, it can be set to one country or territory from a list, or set to International, which means that players in the clan are described as being from all over the world. Like with War Frequency, this is only a description, and players from other areas can still join the clan if possible.
  8. Choose to enable or disable Public War Logs. If enabled, players from outside the Clan will be able to view the Clan's War Log, which shows the Clan's performance in both Clan Wars and Clan War Leagues. Players within the Clan can view the War Log regardless of this setting.
  9. Choose to enable or disable Friendly Wars. If enabled, other clans will be able to send challenges for Friendly Wars to the Clan.
  10. Choose up to three Clan Labels to describe the Clan. This is an optional step. Players searching for Clans will be able to search for Clans by using these labels which makes searching for an appropriate clan easier.
  11. Pay 40,000 Gold. Once this step is completed, the Clan is founded provided that a valid name was given to the Clan.

All of the settings, except for the Clan name, can be changed later by the leader and co-leader(s).

Clan Roles[]

Role Ability to invite Ability to kick Ability to promote Edit Clan information Send messages to all players Start Clan Wars
Leader Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes
Co-leader Yes Yes (To elders and members) Yes (To elders and members) Yes Yes Yes
Elder Yes Yes (To members only, every 20 minutes) No No No No
Member No No No No No No
  • Leader: The boss of their Clan. Has the ability to demote themselves and promote another user to the leader, but only one leader is allowed at any given time.
  • Co-Leader: Trusted by the Clan leader. A clan can have as many co-leaders as the leader wishes, however be wary on who is promoted to this position, as they may kick everyone out of your clan and ruin the clan.
  • Elder: Title for Clan members with a higher reputation and level of respect. Given more rights than a member. There can be multiple elders.
  • Member: An ordinary part of the Clan with no additional rights. You will start as a member in any Clan, even when re-joining a clan in which you once were an elder, co-leader, or leader. There can be multiple members.

Clan Messages[]

Icon SendMail2
  • Clan leaders/co-leaders may send messages to the whole Clan.
  • They may type up to 256 characters.
  • There is a 1-hour cool-down period for each leader or co-leader after sending a message.
  • The message will be sent to all clan members and viewed in their inbox. The message remains in their inbox after being viewed. After a certain number of new messages are sent or sent within a certain time frame, it will be deleted.

Clan Info[]

All members of a clan are able to view on the main tab information pertaining to their current clan.

In the My Clan tab, players can be shown the interfaces as shown in the gallery. Both views can be accessed by tapping the two tabs: a tab with the Clan's clan badge on it and a tab with a graph.

  • The Clan's Clan Badge.
  • The Clan's name, clan tag, and description. The clan tag is unique to each clan and can be used to search for a particular clan.
  • A share button to the side of the clan name. This enables the sharing or copying of the clan tag.
  • The Clan's labels.
  • An Button Edit button to edit the clan settings. Only co-leaders and leaders may edit these settings and so the button is only visible to them.
  • A button to toggle bookmarks for the clan. Bookmarks enable a player to quickly view particular clans. See Clan Bookmarks below for more information.
  • A list of important information:
    • Members: This displays the number of members currently in the clan. The capacity of the Clan is always 50; no more than 50 players may be in the same Clan at any one time.
    • Type: Denotes the type of clan with respect to joining it. See Clan Types for more info.
    • Required trophies: Shows the number of trophies required to join the clan (or apply to do it).
    • Clan Location: Shows the location of the Clan as set by the leaders in the settings.
  • A Icon SendMail2 button to send Clan Mail (see Clan Messages below). Only leaders and co-leaders can send mail and so the button is only visible to them.
  • A Button FindNewMembers button to invite potential recruits to join the clan. Only clan elders and above can invite players and so the button is visible only to them. See Finding New Members below for more info.
  • A Button WarLog button that displays the clan's War Log.
  • A Button Leave button that allows the player to leave the clan upon confirmation. If the player is the leader, he/she must appoint another player as leader before being able to leave, unless he/she is the only player in the clan.
  • On the second tab, additional information about the clan:
    • Clan War League: This shows the clan's current League in Clan War Leagues.
    • Total points: This shows the clan score (see Clan Ranking below).
    • Wars Won: This shows the number of wars the Clan has won.
    • War Win Streak: This shows the number of wars in a row that the Clan has won currently. Losses and draws reset this streak.
    • Clan Leader: Displays the in-game name of the current Clan Leader.
    • War Frequency: Displays the war frequency of the clan as set by the leaders in the settings.
    • Friendly Wars Enabled: Displays whether Friendly Wars are enabled as set by the leaders in the settings.
    • Public War Log: Displays whether the Clan's War Log is made public as set by the leaders in the settings.
  • A Button ClanPerks button showing the current perks the Clan currently enjoys (if any). Below it is a Clan XP experience bar showing how much Clan XP the Clan has earned to reach the next level.
  • The list of members, sorted by decreasing trophy count. The Home Village and Builder Base tabs above toggle between sorting by regular Trophies and sorting by Versus Trophies. In an individual player entry, the following can be seen:
    • The rank within the clan trophy-wise
    • A sign showing any recent gain or loss of rank within the clan trophy-wise
    • The player's war preference. Green denotes the player has opted in, whereas red denotes the player has opted out
    • In the Home Village tab only, the player's current League
    • The player's current Experience level
    • The player's name and clan role. If the player is only a Member, the role is not shown, unless the player newly joined the clan, in which case "New" is displayed next to their name.
    • The player's trophy count
    • In the Home Village tab only, the number of troops that the player donated and received.

Players can also view info screens of other Clans in a similar manner. When viewing another Clan's info screen, a similar screen is found on the Clan tab. Several differences are present:

  • The Button Edit, Icon SendMail2 and Button FindNewMembers buttons are absent, since the player does not belong in that Clan, let alone have the required rank to use these functions.
  • The Button WarLog button will be absent if the Clan has disabled public war logs.
  • The Button Leave button may be replaced by Button Join, which allows the player to join or apply to join if they have enough trophies to do so. If the player is in a clan when they do so, they will have to leave their current clan. If the clan type is set to "Closed" then the button does not appear.
  • The Button ClanPerks button and experience bar are both absent also.
  • Leaders and co-leaders may see a Button Challenge button for that Clan. They can start a Friendly War by sending a challenge to that clan if the other Clan has enabled Friendly Wars and is not currently in a war.
  • In the member list, players will not be able to see the clan members' war preferences.

Clan Chat[]

Clan Chat Example
  • Once you join a Clan, you also get access to its private chat. All recent messages, even those sent before you joined, are seen.
  • You can see donation requests sent out by other players, as well as those sent out by yourself. Any donation requests out of the visible part of the clan chat are marked by a green arrow that scrolls the clan chat to the donation request when tapped.
  • You can also see who is being promoted/demoted/kicked, including invite requests and those who have left the Clan.
  • You can watch any replays shared by clan members.
    • In the case of Multiplayer Battles, the replay shows the username and clan of the opposing player, as well as the result and trophy change (as observed by the player sharing the replay).
    • In the case of Versus Battles, the result is seen first and there is a button allowing you to view the replays; when tapped, two replay buttons appear; one for the player sharing the replay and one for the opposing player. The trophy change (if any) is not shown.
  • You can also see active Friendly Challenges and can spectate the challenge if the attack in the Friendly Challenge is ongoing. Once the Friendly Challenge has been accepted and the attack ended, the result and replay can be viewed in the clan chat.
  • If a leader or co-leader starts a Clan War, a message is sent out in the chat to let everyone know.
  • You cannot report anyone in Clan Chat.
  • In the Air Sweeper Update, Clash of Clans added a message showing who configured/edited the clan settings.

Clan Donations[]

  • In the Clan Chat, you can attend to any visible donation requests sent out by other players at any time. To do so, tap the "Donate" button found on the request.
  • When you decide to donate, you can choose which troops, spells, and siege machines you would like to donate (where applicable). All permanent troops and spells, as well as siege machines, are available to donate to your clan mate.
    • For normal donations, you are only limited to donating from your Sablon:Hs, any troops you have ready from your Barracks and Dark Barracks, from either of your Spell Factories and your Workshop. You cannot donate any units from your own Clan Castle. Temporary troops and spells, such as the Giant Skeleton or Santa's Surprise, cannot be donated, however, Super variants of troops can be donated as normal.
    • Clan mates can also make specific requests, which may take up part or all of the Clan Castle's space. These specific requests are visible in clan chat above the donation bar, and can only be filled by donations that meet these requests. The remainder of the space (if any) can be filled by any units as long as space permits.
  • In the donation menu, you can choose to "Quick Donate", which allows you to donate any units you've unlocked instantly using Gems without needing the cost or time to train them. Different units cost different amounts of gems; these costs are shown in the table below. Note that if 1-Gem donations are active (either through events or by purchasing the Gold Pass) all these prices are reduced to one Gem.
    • For troops, the prices are 2/3rds of a Gem per housing space, rounded to the nearest integer. For spells, it is 10 Gems per housing space and for Siege Machines it is 30 Gems per unit.
Unit Name Gems
Gem Donation Cost Gems

Barbarian, Archer, Goblin, Wall Breaker, Minion 1
Sneaky Goblin 2
Giant, Balloon, Wizard, Hog Rider, Super Barbarian 3
Miner, Bowler, Headhunter 4
Valkyrie, Super Wall Breaker 5
Baby Dragon, Super Giant 7
Witch 8
Healer 9
Ice Golem, Inferno Dragon 10
Yeti 12
Dragon 13
P.E.K.K.A 17
Electro Dragon, Golem, Lava Hound 20
Super Witch 27
Any Siege Machine 30
Any 1-space spell 10
Any 2-space spell 20

  • You can only donate up to a certain maximum number of units during any one donation. This limit is dependent on your Clan perks.
    • You can donate anywhere between 6-9 troops per donation (depending on your Clan level). Note that any troop counts as one troop, regardless of its housing space (so a Dragon, taking 20 housing space, counts as one troop).
    • You can donate one or two spells per donation (again depending on your Clan level). Any spell counts as one spell, regardless of its housing space (so for example a Healing Spell, taking two housing space, counts as one spell).
    • You can donate one Siege Machine per donation (regardless of Clan level).

Editing Your Clan[]

  • The leader or co-leader(s) of the Clan may edit the badge, Clan type, minimum trophy requirement and description of the Clan.
  • However, it is not possible to rename the Clan once it has been created.
  • Clan setting updates can be seen in the Clan Chat, indicating who changed them.

Clan Types[]

  • Closed: You are not allowed to join the Clan at this time. However, you can be part of a closed Clan if you are invited personally by someone currently in the clan, regardless of anything else.
  • Invite Only: You can apply to join this Clan if you meet set requirements if any. Your message will pop up in the Clan chat, at which time an elder, co-leader or a leader can accept you into the clan or reject you. If you have been rejected you will have to wait for 6–8 hours until you can apply again for the same Clan. You will receive a message in your inbox if you are rejected. Members cannot invite or accept/reject pending invites. If invited by someone currently in the clan, you may choose to accept or decline the invite. You may apply to multiple clans at once without cool-down, however, you will only join the first clan that accepted your request.
  • Anyone Can Join: This is a type of Clan where anyone can join without consent from Clan elders or leaders. However, to join the Clan, you must still have at least the minimum number of trophies that the Clan requires if any.

Minimum Trophy Requirement[]

  • This may be adjusted from 0-5,500, of regular trophies and/or Versus trophies.
  • It will stop players from a lower trophy count from joining.
  • If a player was invited by anyone that is an elder or higher, they can join the clan regardless of the trophy limit.
  • Anyone without the required amount of trophies cannot join (or apply to join) the Clan, but Clan members which are below the trophy requirement will not be automatically kicked from the Clan.

Finding New Members[]

Clan Recruit Screen

The interface when finding new members

Leaders, co-leaders, and elders can recruit new members by tapping the Button FindNewMembers button. This button takes the recruiter to the interface shown on the right.

While there, they can browse through a list of players. Tapping a player's entry takes the recruiter to the player's profile.

The recruiter can select up to three labels to narrow the search down to players with relevant labels. This further allows recruiters to find players with a suitable play-style that the clan wants and they can invite a friend in their clan if you want.

Clan Badge Edit

Clan Badge[]

Sablon:Main

  • All Clans have a badge, which is initially designed by the leader when they create the Clan. The leader can customize the badge using the 80 preset patterns and 13 colors that Supercell has provided.

Clan Bookmarks[]

Bookmark
  • The bookmark tool gives you the ability to bookmark up to 30 clans that helps you to find a specific clan easier.
  • The Clans you bookmarked are also ranked from top to bottom by amount of Clan Points.

Clan XP and Perks[]

Sablon:Main

  • Apart from the Clan members themselves, the Clan as a whole has an experience level that is displayed on top of the Clan shield.
  • As the Clan levels up through earning enough Clan XP, the Clan earns perks.
  • Clan XP can be earned through participation in Clan Wars and Clan Games. There are four distinct ways to earn Clan XP:
    • Defeat enemy War Bases in Clan Wars. This will earn a small amount of XP. Note that only the first successful attack gives XP; after that, the base doesn't give any more XP regardless of how many successful attacks are made on it.
    • Score a certain number of stars in Clan Wars. This can be earned in two tiers, being at 40% and 60% of the maximum attainable stars respectively.
    • Win a Clan War: This earns 50 Clan XP for the clan, which can be significant especially in smaller-sized wars.
    • Achieve reward tiers in Clan Games. Each reward tier achieved in a Clan Game yields some Clan XP for the Clan.

Friendly Challenges[]

  • Friendly challenges are a great way to test your new army/layout.
  • The attacker of a friendly challenge will not lose his or her army/spells in the battle.
  • All members may start a friendly challenge. Do the following to start one:
    1. Tap the "Challenge" button located in the bottom corner of the Clan chat tab.
    2. From there, you can choose a base layout for other clanmates to challenge. The layout can be chosen from any completed saved base layouts from your normal village or War Base. This includes any layouts that you could not use currently due to being blocked by obstacles.
      • You may also set your defending Clan Castle troops to be the current contents of your Clan Castle. When you do this, these troops remain stationed for all future Friendly Challenges until you change them again.
    3. Other clanmates can scout and attack the base to be challenged. However, only one player may attack the base.
    4. At the end of the friendly challenge, the result, replay, as well as the troops and spells used, will be shown in the Clan chat.
    5. Friendly Challenges do not affect the trophies or resources of either the defender or attacker.
  • Note that any bases that have been modified in the past 24 hours will not be available to be used as layouts for Friendly Challenges. This is likely to prevent high-level players in a Clan from practicing war attacks on Friendly Challenges using bases with the same layout as the enemies' bases (the enemies' base layouts are not revealed until Battle Day, and so if one were to modify a layout to resemble an enemy's base, it would not be available for the challenge until the war ends).
  • Players can engage in Friendly Challenges for the Builder Base as well; to start one, the player needs to initiate the friendly challenge in their Builder Base. The player must choose a base layout to use, but must also have a full army ready in order to start the challenge. After starting the challenge, the player must wait until another clanmate accepts the challenge, after which the two will engage in a Versus Battle (the player can choose to cancel the challenge at any time before it is accepted). Like Home Village friendly challenges, no trophies are won or lost, no troops are expended, and no loot is awarded to the winner if there is one.

Clan Ranking[]

  • Clan Ranking is based on the number of trophies of its members.
  • It is not a simple sum of all of the members' trophies, but instead a weighted sum according to the following table.
  • The percentage depends on the clan rankings, regardless of size. For instance, a clan with 14 members would have their top ten players contribute half of their trophy counts while the remaining four have 25% of their trophies counted toward the score.
  • Each members' contribution to the clan score is rounded down before it is summed to give the final clan score. For example, consider a clan with two players, whose trophy counts are 1,501 and 901 respectively. This clan would have a score of (750+450) = 1,200 points even though the players' trophy counts sum up to 2,402 which in theory would yield a score of 1,201 points.
  • There are two distinct Clan Rankings; one for the Home Village and one for the Builder Base. These rankings are determined using the players' regular Trophies and Versus Trophies respectively. Both rankings use the same weightage system.
Trophy Rank in Clan (Members) % of Trophies that Count Towards Score
1-10 50%
11-20 25%
21-30 12%
31-40 10%
41-50 3%

Clan Tips[]

  • Choose players that suit the clan's goals, i.e. social, gaining trophies, top 200, troop donation, Town Hall level, etc.
  • Choose elders and co-leaders with caution; don't be too hasty to promote members. Remember, elders can kick out members (with a 20-minute timer), and co-leaders can wipe out essentially the whole Clan as they can kick elders and below.
  • Respect all members of the Clan, including yourself!
  • Be prepared to donate troops, it is an integral part of belonging to a Clan.
  • Find out which troops your fellow Clan members prefer and do your best to oblige.
  • Choose players with similar timezones to help ensure members are active at the same time.
  • Nurture the lower-level members of your Clan. Give them advice and help them to develop as a player.
  • Kick disruptive/offensive members. Make sure to give them a chance and see what they are about, but if they constantly go against the grain of the Clan and upset valued Clan members, don't be afraid to kick them out.
  • Thank your Clan members for the troops that they donate to you. When you donate to them and they say thanks, say "no problem" or "you're welcome"; after all, it's common courtesy!
  • Don't use elder or co-leader promotion as a recruiting tool, as you'll more than likely only attract players you'd rather avoid.
  • Make your Clan description clear and to the point, it's all potential members have to gauge what your clan is about when looking to join.
  • To increase your member numbers consider using the 'Anyone Can Join' status for your Clan. Use the 'invite-only' or 'closed' status if your Clan is full or nearing 50 members.
  • Add your friends into your own Clan to help increase the number of members in your Clan.
  • If your Clan is on 'Anyone can Join' and has reached 45 members, your Clan won't be able to be advertised on the 'Join Clan' tab, so it's best to turn your Clan to 'Invite Only' when your Clan turns into 45 members.
  • You cannot kick anyone from your Clan while you are visiting a village.
  • Choose your co-leaders with caution, as they can change almost everything in your Clan info and kick out elders and members.
  • Ask high-ranking members to advertise for your Clan, as these players are desirable clanmates and will tend to encourage more people to join your Clan.
  • If a leader is inactive for an extended period of time, he/she will be automatically rotated out of leadership, and the position of leader will be given to the longest-serving highest-ranking active player (the longest-serving active co-leader if there is one, followed by longest-serving active elder if there isn't an active co-leader, followed by the longest-serving member if there isn't an active elder). Here "active" refers to any player who has been online at least once in the last 60 days.
    • An automatic clan mail will be given after 60 days of the leader being inactive, stating that the leadership will be passed down after a further 30 days unless the leader logs in again, and the name of the player that will inherit the leadership. If the leadership is indeed changed this way, players will be notified in clan chat; the inactive leader will then be demoted to a co-leader (This is unconfirmed).
