Summary
- The Barbarian Puppet is a piece of Hero Equipment for the Barbarian King. It is one of the two Hero Equipment that he starts with, the other being the Rage Vial.
- The Barbarian Puppet enables the Barbarian King to summon a large number of enraged Barbarians when using his ability. These Barbarians do extra damage and move faster while enraged.
- The Barbarians spawned by the ability are equal in level to the level of Barbarians that the player has researched in the Laboratory. For example, if the player has upgraded Barbarians to level 5 in the Laboratory, the ability will spawn level 5 Barbarians.
- In addition to the ability, the Barbarian Puppet grants additional hitpoints to the Barbarian King, and increases the amount of health he recovers when using the ability.
Strategies
Offensive Strategies
- The spawned Barbarians can distract defenses, and can be vital when the Barbarian King is going against an Inferno Tower or a Monolith. Due to their large numbers, they can help to destroy defenses for the King.
- Note that spawning in the Barbarians does not force defenses to retarget, so a spell such as a Freeze Spell should be used to get defenses to stop attacking the King (otherwise, they will remain locked on until the King is defeated or goes out of range).
- It is not advised to use the ability near empty spaces, unless the health regeneration is desperately needed. Such spaces could conceal Giant Bombs or other harmful traps that could wipe out the summoned Barbarians.
- Likewise, it is not recommended to activate the ability against a Bomb Tower or defensive Town Hall weapon (except at TH12 if the weapon is not level 5). Both explode upon their destruction, and can similarly destroy the Barbarians.
- To maximize the effectiveness of the ability, it is recommended that Barbarians are upgraded as much as possible in the Laboratory, even if they are not used elsewhere in the army, as the level of Barbarians Spawned correspond to the level or Barbarians you have in your Laboratory.
- You can use this equipment in a smash-style attack and the Barbarians can have a lot of purposes, from distracting defenses, to destroying single-targeting defenses with enough Barbarians, to trigger traps, or to even help with cleanup if you activate the ability early.
Defensive Strategies
- The summoned Barbarians are weak to splash defenses such as Mortars, Wizard Towers, Bomb Towers, Eagle Artillery, and Scattershots, since they will destroy them in a few hits (Scattershots and Eagle Artillery can one-shot Barbarians at any level, however). These defenses should be guarded by Walls, since the raged Barbarians can rush to wipe out any defense extremely quickly.
- Defenses that do not do splash damage but can target multiple units, such as multi-target Inferno Towers, Multi-Archer Towers, and Firespitters can work against the spawns to a limited extent, but can potentially be overrun by the Barbarians' sheer numbers.

Equipment Migration
When the Hero Equipment update was released, players' starting Hero Equipment was leveled up for free, without requiring the appropriate Blacksmith level, so that Heroes' capabilities remained roughly the same before and after the update. The level of Hero Equipment obtained from this process depended on the player's Hero level, and is archived in this table below.
