*The Cannon Cart is the fifth [[Builder Base Troops|Builder Base Troop]]. It is a ground troop that is a cannon on wheels. This troop is unlocked at [[Builder Barracks]] level 7, which requires [[Builder Hall]] level 5.

==Strategies==
===Offensive Strategy===
*Try to place a tank, such as the [[Boxer Giant]] and the [[Battle Machine]], to take shots for the Cannon Cart while the Cannon Cart wreaks havoc behind.
**The Cannon Cart has a high damage output but relatively low hitpoints, which makes them vulnerable to the [[Multi Mortar]], so try and spread your tank from the Cannon Carts so splash damage cannot hit both of them.
*A good strategy is to use 2-3 {{B|Army Camp}}s worth of Boxer Giants with the remainder being used for Cannon Carts. If the [[Battle Machine]] is available, you can use 2 Army Camps of Boxer Giants and 4 Army Camps of Cannon Carts. If it is upgrading, you can use 3 Army Camps of Boxer Giants and 3 Army Camps of Cannon Carts.
*The Cannon Cart can shoot over two-tile gaps between {{B|Walls}} and a building, which many players do to prevent [[Sneaky Archer]]s from shooting over.
*The Cannon Cart can quickly destroy the [[Crusher]] and other key defensive buildings to make a path for [[Raged Barbarian]]s and Boxer Giants, and possibly the Battle Machine.
*In Mortar Mode, the Cannon Cart is able to outrange many short-range defenses, such as the [[Double Cannon]], [[Roaster]] and [[Mega Tesla]]. This makes them excellent for clearing areas of a base defended only by such defenses. However, effective micro-management of the Cart is required to utilize this ability to its fullest potential, and due to the lower DPS of Mortar Mode, it can cause time fails.
**It is possible for the Mortar Mode to outrange the {{B|Cannon}}, though the positioning is extremely precise. This is most easily done when attacking from a corner, since the hitbox of the Cannon is farthest from the Cannon's center (from which its range extends out from) at its corners.
*Switching to Mortar Mode may be useful even if it is not being used to snipe a building. If it is obvious that the first stage of an attack will be cleared, keeping the Cannon Cart in Mortar mode can prevent it from destroying unimportant non-defensive buildings. Although it prevents the Cannon Cart from contributing to the attack, this is beneficial for two main reasons:
**The Cannon Cart will not move into any {{B|Traps}}, preventing further damage to it and ensuring it starts stage two with as much health as possible.
**Rechargeable abilities of the attacking [[Heroes|Hero]] will be afforded more time to charge up; if the Hero is damaged, stalling the end of the stage will enable the Hero to use its ability at as high of a charge level as possible, maximizing its health regeneration for stage two.

===Defensive Strategy===
*Keep [[Crusher]]s away from areas where Cannon Carts may be deployed. Its long range will render the Crusher useless, thus allowing [[Boxer Giant]]s, [[Raged Barbarian]]s and the like to easily swarm a good portion of the base.
*It's best to ensure that the Cannon Cart is destroyed as quickly as possible in order to prevent it from potentially devastating the base. To do this, it is best to quickly destroy any troops that might be able to protect the Cannon Cart. Since the Cannon Cart is often paired with Boxer Giants, one could find Crushers and {{B|Spring Trap}}s useful. A [[Double Cannon]] is a versatile substitute, being able to do lots of damage to tanks; it can also destroy a relative leveled Cannon Cart with a single burst.
**The [[Multi Mortar]] can deal damage to both Cannon Carts and their tanks with its splash damage. Try to protect it in the center of your base to maximize its effects, as it can destroy a Cannon Cart with two volleys of shots.
**The [[Lava Launcher]] can easily destroy Cannon Carts and troops that are tanking for them, as with the Multi Mortar.
*Try and place buildings around your base so it is harder to make a funnel. Since most Cannon Cart users have no expendable unit in their army, they have to expend at least two Cannon Carts to funnel the rest of the units in.
*A {{B|Hidden Tesla}} can catch Cannon Cart users off-guard; if an attacker intends to use Mortar Mode to snipe a large area of buildings, placing a Tesla near common deployment locations can enable the Tesla to ambush the Cannon Cart and severely limit its potential.

==Upgrade Differences==
The Cannon Cart undergoes significant visual changes at levels 12, 16 and 18.

*Initially, the Cannon Cart is a machine which has 4 wooden wheels, a platform, and 2 metal barrels that can be tilted upward by 2 supports, on which it then turns into a Mortar, with the inner barrel retracted, while its wheels go down to the ground to attack from a long range. When its barrel lowers, it reverts into Cannon Mode, the wheels return to its original position, and the inner barrel extends again.
**At level 12, its wheels gain a metal line that goes in the middle of the wheel.
**At level 16, the ropes on its large barrel are removed and are replaced with metal plating.
**At level 18, steel bars are added to the sides of the Cannon Cart's platform.

*In the August 25, 2018 [[Version History/2017#Balance Changes (25/8/17)|Balance Update]], the movement speed was increased by 33% (from 12 to 16), the first shot is fired after 0.4 seconds (speed increased from 1.2 seconds) and the range of Cannon Cart's Last Stand ability was increased by 1 tile.
