Summary

  • The Electrofire Wizard is the twelfth and the last troop unlocked once the Builder Barracks is upgraded to level 12, which requires Builder Hall level 10 to unlock.
  • When the Electrofire wizard is deployed, it starts at fire mode but you can switch instantly.
  • The Electrofire Wizard can switch between two different modes, Inferno Mode and Electro Mode, using his Change Mode ability:
    • In Inferno Mode, the Electrofire Wizard will attack with an inferno beam, dealing continuous damage that increases the longer he locks onto a single target.
    • In Electro Mode, the Electrofire Wizard will use chain lightning attacks that can hit up to four different targets that are 1 tile apart from each other, though he prepares this attack slowly. The damage decreases by 20% per target hit after the first.

Strategies

Offensive Strategy

  • Electrofire Wizards can be used to snipe X-Bows that are connected to the edge via 1 tile gaps when in Electro mode.
    • Consider it as an Electro Dragon in the Builder Base, just with much lesser health, no death damage and can't fly.
  • Electrofire wizards are effective when placed behind tanks like the Boxer Giant or Power P.E.K.K.A when in Inferno mode.
    • The Fire mode can be used for funneling as the fire mode will destroy outer defenses and it helps with destroying tanky defenses and buildings.
    • Consider it as an Inferno Dragon in the Builder Base, just with much lesser health and can't fly.
  • However, both needs to have space between tanks as the Lava Launcher and Giant Cannon can become threats.

Defensive Strategy

  • Make sure key defensive buildings have a 2-tile gap between any buildings connected to the edge of the base via 1 tile gaps.
  • Note that because the Electrofire Wizards have a spring weight of 14, they cannot be affected by Spring Traps, but can be affected by Push Traps.
  • As Electrofire Wizards cannot sustain much damage from defensive buildings once within range, the Double Cannon, Giant Cannon and Mega Tesla are effective against them. Archer Towers and Crushers do not work as well due to the Archer Tower's low DPS and the Crusher only activates when a troop is right next to it.

Upgrade Differences

  • The Electrofire Wizard undergoes significant visual changes at level 19.
    • Initially, the Electrofire Wizard appears to be a man with a lightning-like mustache and goatee and thick eyebrows, as well as flame-shaped hair. The tips of his mustache, goatee and hair, as well as his eyes, glow orange/blue. He wears blue clothes with black pants, as well as a purple cloak with gold accents and other lightning-like details. He also has black fingerless gloves and red bracelets with gold details, on his arms. He wears a pair of black leather boots on his feet.
    • At level 19, the color of the Electrofire Wizard's cloak changes from purple to blue.
