Summary
- Mashup Madness was a temporary Event to celebrate Clash-O-Ween. It started on October 13, 2023.
- In this event, players can accrue Sour Elixir and Mashup Medals as temporary resources. Sour Elixir is used to progress a rewards track similar to Season Challenges, while Mashup Medals can be used at the Trader to purchase exclusive rewards.
- The Mashup Madness event was available to all players with Town Hall level 6 and above.
- There were two separate end dates for the event:
- The first end date was for the main event, which occurred on November 1, 2023. At this point, the following occur:
- Sour Elixir will no longer be available to collect;
- Temporary troops can no longer be trained;
- The Sour Elixir Cauldron is converted into a Decoration.
- The second end date occurred on November 3, 2023. Between the first end date and this point, the following still apply:
- The Trader's Mashup Medals offers remain available.
- The rewards track remains open and accumulated rewards can still be claimed. Although it is no longer possible to use Sour Elixir to advance the track normally, Gems can still be used to complete reward tiers. Any claimed boosts remain in effect.
- The first end date was for the main event, which occurred on November 1, 2023. At this point, the following occur:
- After November 3rd, the event formally ended, with the Mashup Madness interface and the Trader's Mashup Medal tab no longer accessible, and the boosts ended. Any unused Mashup Medals that the player had at that point were converted to 1,000 Gold each.
Sour Elixir

Sour Elixir

Tombstones from the temporary troops
- At the start of the event, the player would be prompted to place the Sour Elixir Cauldron in their Home Village by one of their Builders. This "corrupted" one of the player's Elixir Storages, transforming it into a "Sour Elixir Storage" that holds Sour Elixir.
- On October 19th, a second Elixir Storage became corrupted in this manner.
- On October 25th, the third and fourth Elixir Storages (if the player has them) became corrupted as well.
- The Sour Elixir Cauldron produces Sour Elixir at a slow rate.
- In Multiplayer Battles, players could earn Sour Elixir by looting the Sour Elixir Cauldron and any Sour Elixir Storages.
- Unlike other resources, the amount of Sour Elixir available from each building was displayed directly above them rather than having the aggregate total be displayed in the game's UI.
- Elixir Storages that have been transformed into Sour Elixir Storages retained their normal functionalities; they simply gained the ability to be looted by opponents for Sour Elixir.
- Sour Elixir could not be lost once accumulated; any Sour Elixir that opponents manage to loot off the player will be newly generated by the game.
- Loot penalty from attacking players with a lower Town Hall level did not apply to Sour Elixir.
- Most Mashup Troops spawned a special kind of tombstone when defeated; these resemble regular tombstones but have a Sour Elixir coating on top of them. Removing them gave the player 1 Sour Elixir per tombstone removed.
Sour Elixir Rewards
- Sour Elixir could be accumulated to progress a special rewards track exclusive to the event. These rewards included Magic Items, Mashup Medals, unlocking temporary troops, temporary boosts, and more.
- Completing the rewards track unlocked access to a bonus track, which granted additional Mashup Medals upon completion, though only to a limited extent.
- Players could spend 90 Gems to immediately unlock the next rewards tier on the normal rewards track. Gems could not be used on the bonus track.
- If the main rewards track was completed by the end of the event, the Sour Elixir Cauldron would remain in the Home Village after the event as a Decoration.
- The below table is a list of rewards:

Mashup Medals

Mashup Medal
- Mashup Medals could be earned by completing the rewards track, which is done by accumulating Sour Elixir. A total of 5,150 Mashup Medals could be won from the rewards track alone (counting the medals from the bonus track).
- Additional Mashup Medals could be purchased via In-App Purchases in the Shop; some offers contained only Mashup Medals while others are bundled with other content.
- Mashup Medals could be used to purchase special offers from the Trader:
Mashup Troops
- During the event, four new temporary Troops were unlockable in the rewards track by accumulating Sour Elixir. Each comprised combinations of existing troops, as is said to have been done by the Builder.
