After reviewing the edit history on your profile, it appears that you have one of the most interesting bases in all of Clash of Clans. On September 19 one of your gold storages and one of your elixir storages magically reverted from level 11 to level 10, only to magically return to level 11 just two days later on September 21. On September 23, you upgraded an air defense from level 3 to level 4 (congratulations), but apparently it didn't take, because it reverted to level 3 only a day later (along with a level 8 barracks that somehow dropped down to level 7, though that was able to return to level 8 the following day on the 25th of September...but even that was short-lived, as it fell back to level 7 yet again on the 2nd of October).
You also seem to like to play with the colors of your You placard. On the 27th of September you changed the entry color from silver to gold, only to change it back to silver on the 29th. Yesterday's edit changed the header color from black to green, but today's turned it right back to black.
And then the most interesting part: for the last 24 days you've logged on and made exactly one change to your profile, and that's it.
You are of course welcome to come and make changes to your profile anytime something changes. You are even welcome to make edits every day to earn your consecutive edits achievement. But what you are not allowed to do is make frivolous edits in order to achieve it. When you upgrade a building or troop, great! Come update your profile. But if nothing has changed, don't just make a tiny change that you plan on reverting tomorrow. Go respond to a forum post, or write a blog, or answer a comment on a page. Just make sure that whatever you edit is a real edit, because if I see any more of these frivolous edits I'll be forced to block you and ruin your daily progress.
I made it pretty clear what you needed to do in the original post. Make your edits add value! If all your are going to do is come on here once per day and change three or four characters on your profile just to pick up an edit for the day, that's not acceptable. If you actually had an upgrade complete, obviously you can reflect that. But your profile probably doesn't even represent your base anymore, because several times you 'un-upgraded' buildings just so you could come back on the next day and 're-upgrade' them. Do you understand how that's considered frivolous editing and editing solely for the purpose of achievements?
There are many, many legitimate ways to contribute here. Even posting on some of the Fun & Games forum threads is perfectly fine. You don't have to make sweeping changes to the wiki for it a legitimate edit...just participate! Ask a question. Answer someone else's question. Offer your opinion on something, or give someone feedback on theirs. Write a blog (it doesn't have to be War and Peace). Comment on someone else's blog. As long as your comment is on topic and helpful, it really doesn't matter where or what it is.
The upgrade gradient is really up to you how you use it, because it's your profile and you can do what you want with it. For me personally I use it like this: if I have a level 3 archer tower that's currently being upgraded to level 4, I leave the level 3 image but then color it with the upgrade gradient background. Once the upgrade finishes, I change the image to level 4 and revert the background to the normal background.
FYI, this particular response is exactly what I would call a legitimate edit. We're having a productive conversation, which is more than acceptable from an edit perspective. See, it really isn't that hard. :)
