You inspired me to add some links people can use to confirm the validity of my claim that P.E.K.K.A was most likely not originally intended to be a female character, I thought since you inspired me to add the links I thought you deserved to get them directly (and to be notified that I indeed added such links)
I'd also like to thank you for your kind words about my comment, I love educating/teaching/mentoring people (if I had the grades I'd become a teacher, its a university level education here so I doubt I will able to realise that dream though since I don't like studying that much... I do however get to live my dream to some degree through the volunteer work I do with addicts and at-risk youth where I get to teach people about different sort of rehabilitation options and about the dangers of drugs and addiction) and it's always a pleasure to hear that something that I've said or written has taught someone something new or made them think ^_^ So, thank you, your comment made my day a bit more positive!
Yeah, even though it is some sort of useless knowledge, I like reading the facts. Other than people commenting whether PEKKA is a (s)he based on a "she" reference... In the Netherlands you refer to her majesty in a "feminine" way too, regardless the gender (we have a king now ;-)) so it doesn't prove anything.
Without doubt, this would also apply for Finnish words indeed :)
