Summary[]
- The Meteor Staff is an Epic piece of Hero Equipment for the Minion Prince that was released on October 10, 2025, within the Cosmic Rock Event.
- When equipped, the Meteor Staff will periodically summon meteors on the nearest defensive building. These meteors do area damage to both ground and air units. The damage radius is enough to damage adjacent buildings, when targeting a 3x3 building, similar to the damage area of a Lightning Spell.
- Buildings can be hit at any distance, but only when the Minion Prince is actively on the map and not knocked out. Buildings must be targetable (i.e. not under Invisibility Spell or Overgrowth Spell) in order to be hit.
- In the event there are no defenses to target, meteors will instead attack the nearest building. Meteors do not spawn if there are no targetable buildings.
- Upgrading the Meteor Staff increases the damage of meteors and reduces the duration between successive meteor strikes.
- Every three levels, the cooldown for each meteor is reduced by 0.5s, with one exception, in which at level 27, it reduces the cooldown by 1s instead.
- In addition to the ability, the Meteor Staff also grants additional damage and hitpoints to the Minion Prince.
Strategies[]
Offensive Strategies[]
- The Meteor Staff allows the Minion Prince to summon Meteors to damage or destroy defenses from a long distance. It can also help with clean up, since its unlimited range allows it to destroy buildings from far away, preventing potential time fails.
- Upgrading the Meteor Staff allows the Minion Prince to summon more meteors that deal more damage, as higher levels can exponentially increase the damage output.
- Meteors cannot trigger Invisibility Spell Towers since they last too short to activate them, and must be triggered by other means (Giant Arrow, Log Launcher's logs, Spiky Ball, etc).
- Because of the nature of the Meteor Staff being a passive ability, it might not be the worst idea to pair it up with a Revive Spell if the attacking Minion Prince gets knocked out, in order to help with clean up, given by the passive Meteor Strike ability, and its infinite range can be beneficial so long as the Minion Prince is alive. If he is knocked out however, the meteors will not spawn.
Defensive Strategies[]
- If placed correctly, traps such as the Seeking Air Mine and the Giga Bomb might work better against the Meteor Staff, or clumped defenses in one on one interactions, and can potentially ruin an attack, severely damaging the Minion Prince and possibly knock him out of battle.

Trivia[]
- Unlike the Log Launcher's logs, Spiky Ball, and the Giant Arrow, the summoned meteors do not trigger Invisibility Spell Towers, since they last for less than a second upon landing.
- Very similarly to an interaction with Yetimites, the Meteor Staff's meteors can land onto an already destroyed defense & become wasted this way.
