Level 1-5
Summary
- The Power P.E.K.K.A (formerly Super P.E.K.K.A) is a troop available in the Clan Capital, available when the Power P.E.K.K.A Barracks is constructed (this requires a level 2 District Hall in the Builder's Workshop district, and hence requires the Capital Hall to be upgraded to level 6).
- The Power P.E.K.K.A is a melee troop with high hitpoints and damage per second, compensated for by its rather large housing space requirement. When defeated, it explodes and does further damage in the surrounding area.
- Power P.E.K.K.As have no preferred target when attacking; they will simply attack the closest building. However, if they become aware of enemy defending troops stationed in defense posts (either by being attacked themselves or by being near another friendly troop under attack), and can fight back against them, they will leave their previously targeted building and instead engage the enemy troops. Once all of the nearby enemy troops are defeated, the Power P.E.K.K.As will proceed to attack the nearest structure.
Strategies
Offensive Strategies
- The Power P.E.K.K.A has very high hitpoints, making her useful both as a tank for lower-health troops like Raid Carts and to trigger explosive traps, since the damage suffered from explosive traps is low compared to the P.E.K.K.A's health.
- Like with a normal P.E.K.K.A in the Home Village, it is very useful to use other troops to destroy side buildings to help funnel the Power P.E.K.K.A into the center of the base, which it can easily destroy.
- When deploying the Power P.E.K.K.A, deploy her in a way so that she distracts most defensive buildings into attacking her then deploy other units to support her.
- Power P.E.K.K.As are excellent for taking out Giant Cannons over other ground units due to their higher hitpoints. It can be useful to backup a Power P.E.K.K.A with Hog Raiders provided they are not directly behind Power P.E.K.K.A to stun and take out other defenses.
- Power P.E.K.K.As are weak to Inferno Towers, which can quickly destroy them due to its ramping damage. Hog Gliders can stun Inferno Towers should they lock on, buying the P.E.K.K.A extra time; a Lightning Spell can be used in a pinch.
- If a Capital Hall is poorly defended, it can often be severely damaged or destroyed (even from full health) by a single Power P.E.K.K.A. Rage Spells can increase its damage further, shifting the matchup in the P.E.K.K.A's favor.
Defensive Strategies
- High-DPS defenses are vital to prevent a Power P.E.K.K.A from causing havoc on a district. The Inferno Tower (as mentioned above) is the most effective, but single-shot defenses such as the Multi Cannon, or even just concentrating multiple Cannons and/or Spear Throwers together can be effective.
- Grouping multiple defenses together to take down a Power P.E.K.K.A has the disadvantage of leaving the defenses vulnerable to the Power P.E.K.K.A's Overcharge explosion once it is defeated, and depending on placement, may also enable other troops such as the Super Wizard or Super Dragon to exploit their proximity.
- Good Wall placement is key to preventing Power P.E.K.K.As from reaching your most valuable defenses, especially the Multi Mortar, Rocket Artillery and the Blast Bow, all of which have blind spots which the P.E.K.K.A can exploit.
- A highly-upgraded post, if placed well, can be helpful stalling the Power P.E.K.K.A, since each hit from the P.E.K.K.A can only take out one of the troops. This allows your defenses more time to take out the P.E.K.K.A.
- The post is doubly useful if placed behind Walls. If defending troops stay behind the Walls, the P.E.K.K.A(s) will have to break the Wall to reach the Super Giants (only if they are attacking another unit) or the Siege Cart (from range), further stalling them.
