Siege Cart

Level 1-5
Barbarian

Level 1-5
Summary
- The Raid Cart is a squad available in the Clan Capital, available when the Raid Cart Barracks is constructed (this occurs automatically after the Builder's Workshop district is unlocked, when the Capital Hall is upgraded to level 5). The squad spawns one Siege Cart and four Barbarians.
- The Siege Cart is similar to a Cannon Cart from the Builder Base, but with higher hitpoints and a slower fire rate. And its model is visually larger.
- The Siege Cart also appears as a defending troop (without its surrounding Barbarians), stationed in Raid Cart Posts. These defensive Siege Carts share their stats with attacking Siege Carts.
- Siege Carts have no preferred target when attacking; they will simply attack the closest building. However, if they become aware of enemy defending troops stationed in defense posts (either by being attacked themselves or by being near another friendly troop under attack), and can fight back against them, they will leave their previously targeted building and instead engage the enemy troops. Once all of the nearby enemy troops are defeated, the Siege Carts will proceed to attack the nearest structure.
Strategy
Offensive
- The Siege Cart is sturdy for a ranged ground troop, allowing it to survive direct hits from heavy splash defenses such as the Capital Hall or Rocket Artillery, something that is not replicated by Sneaky Archers or Super Wizards. This makes it reliable, but as a trade-off, it lacks damage per second compared to the other two options (with respect to its housing space).
- This can be a superb troop to use with a tank troop in front, best options being either the Super P.E.K.K.A or the Mountain Golem.
- The Siege Cart has high damage output and health, but has a slow movement speed, which can make them vulnerable to to high-damage splash buildings such as the Blast Bow and Rocket Artillery. So try spreading your carts and tanks away from each other.
- The Siege Cart can shoot over two-tile gaps between Walls and a building, which many players do to prevent Sneaky Archers from shooting over.
- The Siege Cart can easily destroy the Crusher and other key defensive buildings to make a path for Super Giants.
Defensive
- Single-target defenses work well against a Siege Cart, but the surrounding Barbarians when deployed together as a Raid Cart can distract them for a while. Some light splash defense such as a Multi Mortar or a single trap such as a Log Trap can be used to get rid of the Barbarians and expose the Siege Cart.
- It's best to ensure that the Siege Cart is destroyed as quickly as possible in order to prevent it from potentially devastating the district. To do this, it is best to quickly destroy any troops that might be able to protect the Siege Cart. Since the Cannon Cart is often paired with Super Giants and Super P.E.K.K.As, one could find Crushers and Hidden Mega Teslas useful. A Multi Cannon is a versatile substitute, being able to do lots of damage to tanks; it can also destroy a relative leveled Siege Cart in a few bursts.
- Mega Mines can deal a high amount of damage to the Siege Cart, as well as instantly eliminating any Barbarians that got too close.
- Zap Traps can also do this to a certain extent, however, they could be triggered by one of the Barbarians or troops with a lower housing space.
