Summary
- The Snake is a troop that is summoned by the Snake Barrel after the barrel breaks. It is a ground troop with moderately low damage and low hitpoints, that can pass over Walls to attack its targets.
- Snake Barrels have no preferred target when attacking; they will simply attack the closest building. However, if they become aware of enemy Clan Castle troops, Heroes, or Skeleton Trap skeletons (either by being attacked themselves or by being near another friendly troop under attack), and can fight back against them, they will leave their previously targeted building and instead engage the enemy troops. Once all of the nearby enemy troops are defeated, the Snake Barrels will proceed to attack the nearest structure.
- Compared to Snakes that are summoned by the Snake Bracelet, Snakes from the Snake Barrel do more damage but have lower hitpoints.
- Snakes are considered to take up 1 housing space for the interactions that use housing space, such as with Spring Traps, Clone Spells and Recall Spells.
Strategies
Offensive Strategies
- Snakes can swarm opposing targets in large quantities, making them excellent against single-target defenses. Conversely, they are vulnerable to splash damage and multi-targeting defenses.
Defensive Strategies
- Make sure to spread out your lesser defenses in a way that it will reduce the chance of major defenses being targeted by the Snake Barrels. Traps can also help in this regard.
- Splash damage defenses, like Scattershots and Wizard Towers, can easily deal with Snakes that are spawned from the Snake Barrel easily.
