Summary
- The Giga Inferno is a defensive weapon fitted onto the level 13 Town Hall. It is implied that rather than a change of weapon, it is like a direct upgrade for the Giga Tesla with a different appearance, like most defenses when upgrading to new levels. While the name of the weapon and attack effect are different from Giga Tesla, the basic nature of the weapon has not changed.
- Most statistics of the level 5 Giga Tesla carry over to the level 1 Giga Inferno: namely its DPS, range, number of targets, damage when destroyed. The only thing that changes is the attack speed; because the Giga Inferno attacks with inferno beams similar to the Inferno Tower, it attacks much faster than the Giga Tesla (but compensates by doing less damage per hit). The retargeting time of the inferno beams are the same as the electric arcs from Giga Tesla, which means slightly less overall DPS against swarm of enemies but it has less overflow damage.
- The Giga Inferno deals very high damage per second to multiple targets at once. It only emerges when the Town Hall is damaged, or when 51% of the base is destroyed.
- Before the Giga Inferno emerges in a battle, the Town Hall is not treated as a defensive building, and defense-targeting troops like Giants will not attack it while other defenses remain. Once the Giga Inferno is active, these troops will be able to target the Town Hall alongside the existing defenses.
- When the Giga Inferno is upgraded to level 3 and beyond, in addition to dealing its normal damage, the death bomb explodes with a slowing effect when the Town Hall is destroyed, the effect time increasing with each upgrade. Unlike the freezing effect of the Freeze Spell, it only slows down the attacking troops' movement and attack speed, like an Ice Golem or Ice Hound attacking a defense and its fire rate slowing down.
- The levels of the Giga Inferno are denoted by the number of stars that can be seen when tapping on a Town Hall 13. Roman numerals on the side of the Town Hall also show the level of the Giga Inferno inside. This is more important than the denotation of the Giga Tesla as the visual upgrade difference of the Town Hall and the weapon itself is not as dramatic.
Strategy and Tips
- The Giga Inferno can be extremely dangerous; it can be compared to a multi-targeting Inferno Tower, except dealing much more damage than one. You can consider using a Freeze Spell on the Giga Inferno to stop it from wreaking havoc on your troops.
- Even at level 3, the Giga Inferno has the same damage per target as the middle tier of a level 7 single-target Inferno Tower.
- Compared to the Giga Tesla, the Giga Inferno's faster firing rate allows it to burn through hordes of smaller units much faster, so even at level 1, the Giga Inferno can be a major threat.
- Sometimes it is bad (for the defending side) for the Giga Inferno to be triggered as then defense-targeting troops (e.g. Giants, Balloons, Golems) can then attack the Town Hall. It is good to have a single-target Inferno Tower nearby to counteract this.
- It can be useful to use a single Earthquake Spell to activate the Giga Inferno so that defense-targeting troops such as Balloons can path towards and target the Town Hall. This is often best done when these troops are close to the Town Hall so that the Giga Inferno gets less time to fire upon these troops.
- Like the multi-target Inferno Tower and Giga Tesla, the Giga Inferno will not be able to use its full damage output if attacking only a single target. This means Queen Charges attacking the Town Hall (if not protected by any other defenses) will usually be able to take it down as long as the Healers stay out of range. However, Giga Infernos (especially at higher levels) can do more damage than the Healers can heal by themselves, so a Rage Spell may be required to boost their output.
- When going against the Th13 Giga Inferno, be prepared for its explosion if you destroy it, as it can easily wipe out many smaller troops, including Bowlers and Balloons, and also significantly hurt your larger troops and heroes. The Grand Warden's Eternal Tome ability can be useful to prevent the explosion damage from hurting or killing your troops, but will not prevent the explosion from freezing your troops.
- Miners will be able to burrow before the explosion occurs, so they'll be safe unless they resurface too early.
- The explosion radius, while significant, is smaller than the range of the Giga Inferno. Long-ranged units like the Archer Queen can stay clear of the blast if they do not move towards the Town Hall before it explodes.
- If the Town Hall is isolated with a large empty space around it, as is usually the case in anti 2-star bases, it can often be useful to allow a lone Wall Wrecker or Battle Blimp (loaded with high damage Clan Castle troops, such as P.E.K.K.As, Valkyries or Balloons) to target the Town Hall while the rest of the army can be used to clear the buildings around the sides. If you manage to take down the Town Hall with the Siege Machine, the explosion will likely only affect any Clan Castle troops you used to take it down, and you can use the Warden's ability elsewhere (against the Eagle Artillery, for example).
Upgrade Differences
- After each upgrade, the Roman numerals on the side of the Town Hall change accordingly to the Giga Inferno's level.
- The Giga Inferno changes when upgraded.
- At level 1, when activated, the light from the bottom floor extinguishes, the triangular wooden panels open, and a circular pillar with a ring lifts up a bigger multi-target Inferno Tower frame with flames inside. The pillar, ring, and frame are made of the deep green metal. The edges of the hole have some protruding stone and inside of the Town Hall is brightly lit up which slowly fades to black and lights up again. When the Town Hall is destroyed, the frame falls down and overloads itself, creating an explosion with a bluish glow.
- At level 2, the ring is replaced with gray metal.
- At level 3, the pillar is now taller, the ring turns into a square platform, the frame grows in size and now has metal tubes down the side of it. The death explosion is now icy, which slows down enemy units in its radius.
- At level 4, the pillar becomes thicker and has a gold ring around the neck of it, the right tube is replaced with a support and the left tube slips through the platform. The Giga Bomb itself now explodes more heavily, causing a slight increase of the slowdown duration.
- At level 5, the frame grows again by a lot and the pillar is also a lot bigger. The left tube is also replaced by a support and a large orange hot tube is fed into the gold ring. When the Town Hall is destroyed, the explosion's slowdown duration is increased once more, due to the ice surrounding the moat of the Town Hall,

History
- The Giga Inferno (TH13) was introduced with the Town Hall level 13 in December 9, 2019 update as its weapon.
- The December 9, 2021 update reduced the upgrade costs of level 2-4 Giga Infernos and the upgrade times at all levels.
- The September 28, 2023 balance changes reduced the DPS of the Giga Inferno at all levels by 20%.
- The June 3, 2024 balance changes reduced the DPS of the Giga Inferno at all levels by 20, and also reduced the death damage from a flat 1,000 to 500-700 (dependent on Giga Inferno level).
Trivia
- The Giga Inferno represents a bigger version of Inferno Tower in multi-target mode.
- The damage upon destruction mechanics of the Giga Inferno (and the Giga Tesla) could have been inspired by the Bomb Tower. The slowing could have been inspired by many troops and spells from Clash Royale.
- The targeting multiple non-adjacent troops mechanics of the Giga Inferno (and the Giga Tesla) could have been inspired by the Inferno Tower in multi-target mode.
- Its triggering criteria could be inspired by the Clash Royale King's Tower: either taking damage or certain buildings are destroyed (in Clash Royale's case, a Princess Tower).
- If the Giga Inferno is under upgrade, it will not defend or explode (like with any other defensive building), and the Town Hall acts like a level 1-11 Town Hall. The upgrading Giga Inferno will not be targeted by defense-targeting troops, unlike other defensive buildings, which are targeted normally while under upgrade.
- The frost effect that occurs when a level 3 or higher Giga Inferno is destroyed has a slightly larger area of effect than the explosion damage that occurs simultaneously. As a result, it is possible for troops to be affected by the frost but be unharmed by the explosion.

Summary
- The Giga Inferno is a defensive weapon fitted onto the level 14 Town Hall.
- The Giga Inferno deals very high damage per second to multiple targets at once. It only emerges when the Town Hall is damaged, or when 51% of the base is destroyed.
- When the Town Hall is destroyed, it unleashes a Poison Bomb that works just like the regular Poison Spell; it deals damage and slows down movement and attack speed to all units around the Town Hall. This effect replaces the Town Hall 13 Giga Inferno's freezing bomb.
- Most statistics of the level 5 Giga Inferno from Town Hall 13 carry over to Town Hall 14's level 1 Giga Inferno: namely its DPS, range, number of targets, damage when destroyed. The only thing that changes is that its explosive bomb creates a toxic poison cloud instead of slowing down the surrounding area with frost, initially it will have a less effective slow in exchange doing poison damage with a longer lasting effect until it reaches level 5 where it will tie with the frost effect.
- Before the Giga Inferno emerges in a battle, the Town Hall is not treated as a defensive building, and defense-targeting troops like Giants will not attack it while other defenses remain. Once the Giga Inferno is active, these troops will be able to target the Town Hall alongside the existing defenses.
- The levels of the Giga Inferno are denoted by the number of stars that can be seen when tapping on a Town Hall 14. Roman numerals on the front of the Town Hall also show the level of the Giga Inferno inside.

This is often best done when these troops are close to the Town Hall so that the Giga Inferno gets less time to fire upon these troops.
- After the placing the Earthquake Spell at the Town Hall, the Flame Flinger can easily take it out because of the damage, being able to outrange the Giga Inferno and the fire damage over time effect. However, the process is slow and the Battle Builders can fix the damage quickly if they are not taken out first, so try and start another part of an attack to prevent time fails.
- When going against the Town Hall 14 Giga Inferno, be prepared for its explosion if you destroy it, as it can easily wipe out many smaller troops, including Bowlers and Balloons, and also significantly hurt your larger troops and heroes. The Grand Warden's Eternal Tome ability can be useful to prevent the explosion damage from hurting or killing your troops, but will not prevent the Poison effect from slowing down your troops.
- Even if the Tome protects your troops from the blast, the resulting poison will outlast the ability and so do heavy damage to them. As such, it is advisable to destroy the Town Hall early into the attack with a hero or a siege machine so that the majority of your army never has to engage it.
- The Healing Tome lasts longer than the Poison duration, and can be used to negate some damage from the defensive Poison.
- However, starting at level 4 and above, the death poison damage starts to deal more damage that the max-level Healing Tome can heal, but you can use a Healing Spell to stack the healing effect, rendering the Poison effect useless.
- A Freeze Spell does not mitigate the Giga Inferno's death explosion and poison effect.
If you manage to take down the Town Hall with the Siege Machine, the explosion will likely only affect any Clan Castle troops you used to take it down, and you can use the Grand Warden's ability elsewhere (against the Eagle Artillery, for example).
Upgrade Differences
- After each upgrade, the Roman numerals on the top of the door of the Town Hall change accordingly to the Giga Inferno's level.
- The Giga Inferno weapon itself gains a significant visual change at level 5, not counting the Town Hall's appearance, and at each level, the Poison Bomb's explosion damage is increased.
- At level 1, when activated, the stone slides open in half, a circular pillar, which the top is cracked into three pieces, a gold ring in its neck, is hollow, and filled with burning Dark Elixir, is lifted up and summons a floating ball of crackling energy. The inside of the Town Hall is a jagged stone wall. When the Town Hall is destroyed, the energy ball falls into a container with a skull which progressively gets brighter and the poisonous orange liquid fills up, during which the container heavily shakes and glows orange before exploding, leaving a cloud of Poison behind.
- At level 5, the ball of energy becomes bigger.

History
- The Giga Inferno (at TH14) was introduced in April 12, 2021 "Town Hall 14" update.
- The April 29, 2021, balance changes made the Poison DPS increase more quickly.
- The September 28, 2023 balance changes reduced the Giga Inferno's main DPS at all levels, from a flat 300 at all levels to 240-280.
- The December 12, 2023 update reduced the Giga Inferno's Poison duration to 12 seconds (from 16).
- The June 3, 2024 balance changes reduced the Giga Inferno's DPS at levels 1-4 to 220-265 (from 240-270) and death damage to 700-900 (from a flat 1,000).
Trivia
- According to Darian in Supercell's Town Hall 14 Dev Update video, the design of the Town Hall, as well as the the buildings with new upgrade levels, and new buildings, are inspired by indigenous Mesoamerican architecture.
- As the Giga Inferno for Town Hall 14 is mainly just a ball of energy summoned on top of the Town Hall, it does not act like a bomb on its own like the previous two versions of Town Hall weapons. Because Inferno Towers are powered by Dark Elixir and Poison Spells are brewed from Dark Elixir, the container might have the ingredients of a Poison Spell, activated by Dark Elixir at a high energy state to create both an explosion and a cloud of poison.
- Town Hall 14's Giga Inferno upgrade costs are lower than those of Town Hall 13, probably due to the fact that only the Poison Bomb is upgraded, and these upgrades are less significant than the Town Hall 13 upgrades.
- At levels 3-5, there is a visual error that when the Giga Inferno is activated, the stone on the top middle of the Town Hall's roof reverts from completely gold to stone with some gold outlining when the stones are split, much like at levels 1-2.

- The Giga Inferno changes when upgraded.
- At level 1, when activated, the Town Hall's top corners and side pool shine brightly, which persists until it is destroyed. The purple triangles of the weapon open outwards, and its purple square and silver triangles are lifted up and twisted counter-clockwise by a right angle with an octagonal pillar. The silver triangles then fold up and create a pyramid with a glowing magenta tip and a pink aura. The pillar has one silver ring secured by a metal stripes, the pillar and stripes are on top of a bigger octagonal base. The edge of the hole is octagonal stone with an inner layer of magenta, and inside of the Town Hall is brightly lit up by pink. When the Town Hall is destroyed, the pyramid falls into a container with a skull which progressively gets brighter and the poisonous orange liquid fills up, during which the container heavily shakes and glows orange before exploding, leaving a cloud of Poison behind.
- At level 2, a ring is added to the pillar and the metal stripe now shifted to secure the base instead.
- At level 3, one more ring is added to the pillar and the base is bigger with a small support added to the sides without the stripes.
- At level 4, the rings are now golden and the base is taller with the metal stripes integrated into the base as stone supports.
- At level 5, a ring is removed from the pillar but each one is much wider, the pillar is thinner and the stone supports from the base extends to it. The base is also surrounded by two thicker rings. The rings go through the supports. When the weapon is activated, the entire moat shines brightly in light. When destroyed, the Poison Bomb now shakes and explodes more violently, causing a slight increase of the Poison radius.

- Just like its predecessors at earlier Town Hall levels, the Giga Inferno deals very high damage per second to multiple targets at once. It only emerges when the Town Hall is damaged, or when 51% of the base is destroyed.
- When the Town Hall is destroyed, it unleashes a poison bomb that works just like the Poison Spell; it deals damage and slows down movement and attack speed to all units around the Town Hall.
- Most statistics of the level 5 Giga Inferno from Town Hall 15 carry over to Town Hall 16's Giga Inferno: the only stat that changes is the Town Hall's hitpoints. Unlike previous Giga Inferno incarnations at previous Town Hall levels, the Giga Inferno at Town Hall 16 only has one level.
- Before the Giga Inferno emerges in a battle, the Town Hall is not treated as a defensive building, and defense-targeting troops like Giants will not attack it while other defensive buildings remain. Once the Giga Inferno is active, these troops will be able to target the Town Hall alongside the existing defenses.
Strategy and Tips
- The Giga Inferno can be extremely dangerous; it can be compared to a multi-targeting Inferno Tower, except dealing much more damage than one. You can consider using a Freeze Spell on the Giga Inferno to stop it from wreaking havoc on your troops.
- When going against the Giga Inferno, be prepared for its explosion if you destroy it, as it can easily wipe out many smaller troops, including Bowlers and Balloons, and also significantly hurt your larger troops and heroes.
- The Healing Tome lasts longer than the Poison duration than the Poison effect of the Town Hall. However, even at level 1, the Poison can damage troops more than what the max-level Healing Tome can heal, so using a Healing Spell in tandem with the Healing Tome can render the Poison effect useless.
- A Freeze Spell does not mitigate the Giga Inferno's death explosion and poison effect.
If you manage to take down the Town Hall with the Siege Machine, the explosion will likely only affect any Clan Castle troops you used to take it down, and you can use the Grand Warden's ability elsewhere (against the Eagle Artillery, for example).
Mechanics
- When the Giga Inferno is activated, the giant stone-like orb embedded into the center of the Town Hall rises and floats slightly above the Town Hall. The orb itself also begins to glow bright yellow, and the flames are periodically emitted from the orb. Pertinent to the nature theme of this Town Hall level, the orb and its inferno beams resemble the sun and solar flares. When the Town Hall is destroyed, the stone-like orb falls into a container with a skull which progressively gets brighter and the poisonous orange liquid fills up, during which the container heavily shakes and glows orange before it violently explodes, leaving a large cloud of Poison behind.

History
- The Giga Inferno (TH16) was introduced with the Town Hall level 16 in December 12, 2023 update.
Trivia
- The Giga Inferno represents a bigger version of Inferno Tower in multi-target mode. However, it is a stone orb rather than the frame found in the multi-target Inferno Tower.
- The Giga Inferno at Town Hall level 16 is the only Giga Inferno to have only one weapon level. As such, it is also the only Giga Inferno not to sport Roman numerals anywhere on its exterior.
