- For the weapons of Town Hall 12 to 17, see Giga Weapons and Inferno Artillery.

Summary
- Guardians are special defensive troops that defend the Town Hall when it is upgraded to level 18 in place of weapons.
Longshot standing atop Town Hall
- One Guardian can be selected to defend at any given time. The selected Guardian will stand atop the Town Hall before battle; once an enemy is in range, the Guardian will jump down to engage.
- Guardians start out at level 1 when unlocked, and can be upgraded using builders. While upgrading, Guardians cannot defend in Multiplayer Battles, but can still defend in other game modes. The maximum level (currently) is up to level 5 each.
- Guardians are not considered as Heroes, and as a result these interactions apply:
- They will not be preferentially targeted by Headhunters.
- Rage Spells from the Spell Tower or from defending Super Valkyries have full effect (not reduced unlike with Heroes).
- They can be healed by defending Healers or Druids at the rate of regular troops.
- Their stats do not get increased by any difficulty modifiers as they are not considered as Defenses as well.
- As troops, Guardians are not damaged by Earthquake Spells, but can be damaged by Lightning Spells.
- Unlike other units, Guardians are immune to Poison Spells, though they can be affected by poison from Headhunters or Poison Lizard if targeted by them.
- Guardians do not have a housing space value unlike other defending troops, defeating them provides no value for the Dark Crown.
Trivia
- There is unused text that is supposed to be used for the fourth interface box information which reads:
Guardians always spawn from the Town Hall, so place it wisely.
