Trivia
- Town Hall is commonly shortened by the term "TH" or "Th" in the community.
- During the tutorial, if all other buildings are purchased before the first Builder's Hut there will be no opportunity to buy additional Builder's Huts, bringing the max number of buildings down to 10 for Town Hall level 1.
- At Town Hall level 2, it is possible to purchase a package that exceeds max resources in order to rebuild the Clan Castle.
- Alternatively, one can use out-of-game links at this level to overflow Gold in order to rebuild the Clan Castle, via the chests from Treasure Hunt.
- While every new Town Hall gains a new unique defensive building, each new Town Hall from level 9 on also has a specific theme, which is reflected in most buildings (and in some cases, troops) that gain levels at that Town Hall level.
- Town Hall 9's theme is a medieval castle with a medieval weapon, the X-Bow.
- Town Hall 10's theme is fiery, with the Inferno Tower using flames to attack.
- Town Hall 11's theme is said to be mysterious and magical, with ancient advanced technology like the Eagle Artillery being developed.
- Town Hall 12's theme is electricity, with the Town Hall itself being modified into a defensive resource building and acting like a stronger Hidden Tesla, which is known as the Giga Tesla.
- Town Hall 13's theme is "Dark Elixir and Ice", and introduces the Scattershot and the Town Hall's weapon is changed to the Giga Inferno, which at higher levels causes a freezing explosion when destroyed.
- Town Hall 14 is jungle-themed, the weaponized Builder's Huts carry this theme by adopting a green color scheme and the Giga Inferno is now modified to produce a poisonous bomb instead.
- Town Hall 15's theme is magic; the Spell Tower uses spells defensively, Monolith uses powerful magic to deal percentage-based damage, and the Giga Inferno fires magenta inferno beams when attacking.
- Town Hall 16 is nature-themed; it introduces the concept of merging defenses and debuts Ricochet Cannon and Multi-Archer Tower, with sun beams used for the Giga Inferno.
- Town Hall 17 is justice-themed; it introduces the concept of merging the Town Hall with the Eagle Artillery, and debuts the Firespitter which pierces enemy units, and the Multi-Gear Tower, which is a merged defense that can change modes that can change the tide of the battle. Its weapon is now changed into the Inferno Artillery, which shoots four fireballs at targets that deal splash damage upon impact at a longer range.
- When a level 10 Town Hall was destroyed, the ruins would lie on a grate on top of lava. This even holds in the Single Player Campaign: since the Goblin Town Hall is smaller than the level 10 player Town Hall, in stages with level 10 Goblin Town Halls, you can even see the grate on top of lava without destroying the Goblin Town Hall.
- There is a glitch where you can appear to move away your Town Hall from its usual location (this is only visual, and has no effect on gameplay). If this is done with a Town Hall 10, the lava grate can be seen in full.
- When a Town Hall upgrade finishes during a Clan War Preparation Day, it still shows that the player is the previous Town Hall level on the war map.
- Players, however, can use this trick to help them out especially in Clan Wars and Clan War Leagues, due to the Town Hall boost it gives, by attacking higher enemy bases, especially if they need more power or are mismatched.
- If you zoom in on your Town Hall entrance, you will see the glow of a fire inside the entrance, provided certain actions are being proceeded.
- Several Defensive Buildings "face" away from the Town Hall when not in battle. The manned defenses (e.g. Archer Tower) have their occupants facing away from the Town Hall, while some of the unmanned defenses (e.g. Cannons) automatically aim away from the Town Hall.
- The Town Hall's entrance is small when compared to Villagers and Builders. However, this does not apply in certain levels.
- Town Hall level 11's description in the Chief's Journey is a reference to Star Wars. (TH11 desc: "An elegant Town Hall for a more civilized age." vs. Obi Wan Kenobi: "An elegant weapon for a more civilized age.")
- Before Town Hall level 11 was added, and before level 11 Walls were redesigned, players speculated that the Town Hall 11 was going to be blue and have electric theme because of the level 11 Walls theme.
- However, Town Hall 12 took the spot, along with the level 13 Walls.
- Before the 2015 update, farming bases used to have their Town Hall situated on the outside of the base without any protection so players could easily get a 12-hour shield. With that, their resource collectors would collect large amounts of loot without any disruption.
- According to this video, Supercell thought of the Town Hall level 13 to have a winter-theme because they felt it would be more appropriate since the Town Hall level 13 was added in December.
- Before Town Hall level 13 was added, Supercell thought the Town Hall 13 could be jungle-themed for the Royal Champion to fit in the jungle before her final design. This clip can be seen here.
- However, Town Hall 14 took the spot.
- The Barbarian King lives in the Town Hall according to a tweet by Supercell.
- The interior of the Town Hall 14 can be seen in the Town Hall Tour video by Supercell. It contains several Easter eggs such as:
- Several stacks of Gems and Gold.
- Multiple shelves of Magic items such as books and potions.
- A metal shield decorated with the face of the Barbarian King.
- The trident of the Warden of the North.
- Eggs where the Electro Owl may hatch from.
- A metal totem of a Goblin.
- Two miniature Elixir Collectors.
- A dog bowl for L.A.S.S.I.
- The skeleton of a Dragon.
- When upgrading to Town Hall 17 using a Hammer of Building after all the requirements are completed, there is a confirmation button which appears similarly to when constructing a building. If the green button is pressed, the Eagle Artillery will immediately be gone, already fused with the Town Hall, and finishing its upgrade instantly.
- Currently, Town Hall 17 is the only level of the Town Hall where only the Roman numeral and weapon changes, but not the appearance of the Town Hall itself.
